How we have helped others:

We have a client that needed to hire additional staff, but was having trouble attracting people to Los Angeles. They knew they could hire superior talent if they could allow employees to work out of their homes as if they were in the LA office. The L@b designed a computer system that enabled a person to work in real time from anywhere in the world as if they were in the office. Today, 20% of the company’s workforce work and live outside of Los Angeles. And, the system allows the company to track productivity.

A private High School with a focus in technology asked us to quarterback an investment to implement a complete refresh of their technology and infrastructure. The L@b worked with internal IT to reach out to vendors, qualify the proposals and to ensure that the technology being proposed met the current requirements, vastly improved security, stayed to budget, and was also able to adapt to future needs. At implementation, the L@b worked with IT and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of the various phases of the project within budget.

A new internet company asked the the L@b to evaluate the infrastructure required to sustain a new application with anticipated high-demand and availability. This application is expected to grow from 100’s of users to 10’s of thousands in a six month cycle. The L@b helped them formulate a plan for growth based on metrics and projections to ensure that they will not outgrow the resources available.

A new company asked the L@b to develop a workflow of lead and customer tracking that is tightly integrated with their website. The L@b was able to help keep this company’s investments low while providing the features and functionality required to allow them to be successful.

A media company retained the L@b to improve network performance across their Wide-Area-Network that spans 4 cities across the US. We developed a new network topology, split telephone and network traffic and replaced a network intensive application with new cloud-based solutions. The result: a redundant network and happier remote office business units.

Programming

How we have helped others:

We have developed a HIPAA compliant web application to manage a small medical office’s workflow complete with customer access and report to fax/email capability.

We integrated a lending company’s website lead generation, application and qualification process with their SalesForce.com CRM system. Now, qualified website leads translate to SalesForce leads and tasks to allow the company to be successful with these crucial, initial customer touches.

We integrated a company’s website to their back-end system. This gave their customers the access needed to start our client’s internal processes. Complete with a design and implementation of a workflow system, the company can work using a paperless process, be more responsive to their customers, has to-the-minute data on their outstanding tasks and can easily reassign their internal processes to ensure that their clients will receive service and results within the specified service standards.

We have implemented a web task assignment/reporting system that is Blackberry friendly for one of our customers. This system gives their mobile workforce quick access to outstanding tasks and the ability to respond real-time to issues, complete with email and text notifications.

We have helped companies get their different systems (Accounting, CRM , WorkFlow, Time and Billing, and many home-grown systems) to ‘talk’ to each other resulting in better access to information.
